Get Your Scare On At Nightmare!

October 14, 2011

If you are a big chicken but love to test your scaredy-cat-ometer like I do, then you must get your shaky bones over to Fairplex’s annual Halloween frightfest Nightmare…A Haunted Attraction. As we like to say, this year, the Nightmare is in your own backyard! Mmmuaaaaahhhhhaaaahhhhaaa! Seriously, this is Nightmare’s third year and includes five all-new frightening mazes that are so freakin’ terrifying they’ll turn 30-year-old tough guys into wailing babies crying for their mommas. What? You think I’m kidding? One word people – clowns! Oh sheesh. Got chills just typing the word. What is it about clowns? Have you seen “It”? Is Tim Curry the best stinkin’ freakiest psycho horrifying clown ever? See? Told you. You are scared already.

Check out Nightmare’s maze craze:
Creepy cowboys from the Wicked Wild West lead guests through a haunted ghost town. Be careful or you, too, will end up six feet under.

In the Haunted Gypsy Camp, demented gypsy Esmeralda will tell guests their fortune – but they may not like the outcome. Her crystal ball has a mind of its own. What it sees, you may not want to.

Classic horror as you like it resides in Transylvania Terror: The Blood Cult. Coffins line the path of this maze but beware when they open. You never know who will pop out. Where vampires and werewolves abound, blood will be spilled.

This is one big top where you won’t find cotton candy and balloons. The Amazing Oloff and His Circus Freaks will terrorize brave souls as they walk through the dark passages of this haunted circus. See an unusual display of sidekicks and untamed beasts. Clowns, clowns, clowns!

Zombies Unleashed is an all-you-can-eat human buffet in Zombie town! The undead crave flesh and you’re the main course! Watch your step or Thanksgiving will come early for these feasting fiends.

Nightmare begins tonight and runs Oct. 15, 21-22 and 28-31. Tickets are $15 and parking is $9. You can purchase discount tickets at participating Walgreens for $12. Nightmare is not recommended for ages 12 and younger. Get more info at here.

So, it’s the Halloween season, when we welcome the undead and all things frightful and delightful to trick or treat us. Get yourself out to Nightmare. You’ll be sorry if you don’t!
