Today is the last day of the annual 48th District Schools’ Agriculture & Nutrition Fair at Fairplex, and we could not be happier to have seen hundreds of students have a great time with their families and friends while on our grounds.
This very special agricultural educational fair features thousands of individual and classroom entries from hundreds of schools in the greater Los Angeles area.
The fair brings students, families, educators and community members together to celebrate the achievements of local students (pre-K through high school) and teachers and educates the attendees about the importance of agriculture and nutrition in California.
Exhibits include art, photography, beneficial insects and worms, birdhouses, crafts, horticulture, hydroponics, mission models, paintings, posters, quilts, quilt blocks, sawhorses, scarecrows, gardens, terrariums and trout-in-the-classroom projects.
In addition to seeing all of the other exhibits, students were able to enjoy a petting zoo, our lovely garden and a Spelling Bee contest!
