Mother’s Day for moms in need

Early Mother’s Day makeovers at Fairplex 

The Avalon at Fairplex is usually reserved for holiday parties, speaking sessions and dinners but today it has been transformed into a fully functioning beauty salon! 150 women in need — mothers who have endured domestic abuse, substance addiction, cancer, poverty and other hardships in life — came to Fairplex for a full morning of pampering.

These special moms received pedicures, manicures, hair cuts and makeup tips from hair stylists and makeup artists while their children made Happy Mother’s Day crafts under the supervision of trained volunteers at The Learning Centers at Fairplex.
