Helloooo May! We hit the ground running this month hosting the Cinco de Mayo festival, Learning Expo and Upland Lemon Festival (off-site.) We’re not slowing down any time soon, either. Keep reading to see what’s in store this month:
LA On Tap (May 7): Our second annual craft beer festival is this Saturday! 65 breweries will be here, ready to provide you with a wide variety of options, from IPAs to lagers and beyond.
Palates & Palettes (May 14): This month Palates & Palettes features the talents of Pablo Picasso. We’ll be offering wine and food from his hometown — Spain — as you learn to paint one of this distinct works of art. Click here for more info.
48th District Schools’ Agriculture & Nutrition Fair (May 17-21): By far one of our favorite spring events, we’re excited to welcome back the annual Ag & Nutrition Fair! Students, families and community members will learn how agriculture (water, plants, bees, food etc) plays an important role in our daily lives. Click here for more info.
Mission Circuit Dog Show (Memorial Day Weekend): The Mission Circuit Dog Show returns to Fairplex on Memorial Day Weekend. 8,000 dogs on campus is always a welcome sight to us and we look forward to hosting the competitions and seeing which dogs will be named winners this year. Admission is free courtesy of Purina® Pro Plan® Brand Dog Food. Click here for more info.
Free Monthly Events: The Fairplex Garden Railroad and the RailGiants Historic Train Museum is free and open to the public on the second weekend of each month. Feel free to visit! Our volunteers will be happy to speak with you. We’re also hosting our weekly Food Truck Thursdays and monthly Prolong Twilight Cruise.
Other Events: The Bubble Run 5K, DeafNation Expo and West Coast Historic Militaria Show will also be at Fairplex this month! You can view more info on these and all our events on our Upcoming Events calendar.
