L.A. Weekender: Last weekend of Oktoberfest!

Things are about to get colorful at Fairplex this weekend with The Color Run 5k! Not to mention it’s the last weekend of our Oktoberfest so you know things are going to be memorable around here. Keep reading the L.A. Weekender for our suggested weekend activities in Los Angeles County:

Oktoberfest at Fairplex 

Oktoberfest at Fairplex (Oct. 24-26): It’s the last weekend of Oktoberfest at Fairplex! Fill up your steins, load up on bratwurst (or King Taco) and enjoy an evening of oom-pah-pah music, dancing, games and good times. Or, if Sunday Funday is more your style, roll in between 12 – 6 p.m., watch NFL games and enjoy an afternoon with your family and friends! The Color Run 5K (Oct. 25): The Color Run returns to Fairplex this Saturday. Run, skip, dance or walk your way through this fun run race course, and be prepared to get splashed with color along the way! The party continues at the Finish Festival with music, dancing and other fun activities. Registration is still open at http://thecolorrun.com.

34th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade (Oct. 25): The city of La Verne is hosting its annual Children’s Halloween Parade this Saturday, not too far from Fairplex! Children can show off their Halloween costumes as they parade around the CVS Shopping Center, collecting treats from merchants along the way. Steam Carnival (Oct. 25-26): The Los Angeles STEAM Carnival debuts this weekend at CRAFTED at the Port of L.A. this weekend. This high-energy event features tech-infused game attractions, science demos, musical robots, circus acrobats and aerialists and artisinal carnival food. Plenty to discover, experience and Instagram! Brewery ArtWalk (Oct. 25-26): The Brewery ArtWalk is a twice annual open studio weekend at the worlds largest art complex. With over 100 participating residentartists, you will have the opportunity to see new works, discover new favorites, speak with the artists and purchase artwork directly from the artists’ studios.
