Brace yourselves, Super Bowl weekend has arrived. It’s going to be pretty busy in L.A. but if you plan your days right, this could be a great start to the month. Here are just a few of the things happening:
Western States Horse Expo (Feb 5-7): The Horse Expo returns to Fairplex this weekend with all things equine. If you’re a horse enthusiast this is the place to be. Connect with fellow horse friends, get a leg up on the latest training and education, shop premier equine vendors and, of course, enjoy some time with your favorite horses. Open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. Visit horseexpoevents.com for event details.
Hot Tub & SwimSpa Show (Feb 5-7): Winter weather never sticks around in Southern California and, despite El Niño predictions, it looks like it’s going to be another sunny year for us. Avoid the hassle of going from store to store and get all your backyard accessories at the Hot Tub & SwimSpa Show! Browse hot tubs, patio furniture, BBQs and all your other needs in one building at Fairplex. Visit spapoolandbbqshow.com for more info.
First Fridays in LA (Feb 5): The first Friday of the month is one of our favorites in Los Angeles. The Natural History Museum, Abbot Kinney in Venice and Long Beach all offer special food, art and shopping activities on the first Friday of each month! Click on the links above for information on each one.
Taste of Night Market (Feb 5-6): The Taste of Night Market comes to Santa Monica this weekend. If you missed the Asian American Expo last month at Fairplex this is another great way to celebrate the Lunar New Year! Enjoy dishes from L.A. based chefs, watch live performances and celebrate the cultural experiences Taste of Night Market has to offer. For more info click here.
Super Bowl Everything (Feb 7): If you or your friends/family are football fans, chances are you’ll be loading up on food and watching a screen most of the day. But in case you don’t have plans yet, check out some of these festivities happening in the L.A. area.
McKinley’s Grille will also be offering $12 Coors Light and $15 Dos Equis pitchers along with $8 food specials during the big game so you’ll be fed and watered if you spend the day with us!
And if football is really not your thing, maybe the Puppy, Kitten or Otter Bowl will be more your speed. Think less sports fanatics, more animal lovers and an all around overdose of happiness.
Wherever you are this weekend, we hope you stay safe, happy and in the company of your family and friends! Cheers.
