Fairplex Snapshot: Moving The Wall That Heals

March 21, 2018

The Wall That Heals” is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. designated to travel to communities throughout the United States.

This special memorial “provides thousands of veterans who have been unable to cope with the prospect of facing The Wall to find the strength and courage to do so within their own communities, thus allowing the healing process to begin.”

Lone Hill MIddle School in San Dimas is hosting the Wall until Sunday, and we have the honor of being part of the transportation process!

The Wall was stationed on our campus this morning, but has since traveled through the City of La Verne to Lone Hill with an escort of dozens of motorcycles and servicemen.

Volunteers and crew members are working to set up the Wall today and will be open to the public beginning tomorrow through Sunday. The Wall will be accessible at all hours for those who wish to visit.
