This weekend we are celebrating three of our favorite subjects: agriculture, innovation and art! We invite you to check out one (or all!) of our happenings on this first weekend of November:
Grow Pomona (March 2016) introduced students to agriculture at The Farm
Fall in the Farm (Nov 5): We’re pleased to launch our second community-based agricultural Farm event of the year! Guests of all ages are invited to join us for Fall in The Farm — a celebration of all things American agriculture. Activities include hay baling, rope making, corn grinding, stick horse races, olive oil tasting, learning activities with the Youth Science Center, live animals, and gardening workshops. Join us from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. this Saturday! Free parking available at Gate 12. For more information, please visit fairplex.com.
So Cal Maker Con (Nov 5): Connect with makers and inventors of all ages, backgrounds and levels of expertise as they gather to share and exhibit their latest work. We’ll get to see 3D printing, high-tech cosplay outfits, start up companies, drone races and more. For those who like interactive events, there will be plenty of hands-on activities, competitions and challenges. There will even be a Robot’s Maker Kid’s Zone! The fun runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. this Saturday. Visit SoCalMakerCon.com for more info.
Plein Air Perspective Opening Reception (Nov 5): The Millard Sheets Art Center has teamed up to create a new exhibition at our gallery. This juried exhibition serves to raise awareness for both organizations and celebrates the traditional art form of Plein air painting. More than 90 unique pieces will be on display from local artists. Join us for the opening reception Saturday night at 5 p.m. For more information visit millardsheetsartcenter.org.
