The LA County Fair has been around since 1922 and hardcore fans are familiar with its history. But do you know how The Learning Centers at Fairplex (TLC), an equally important part of Fairplex, began?
Like many things, TLC started as a small program dedicated to education within the community, with art education programs at the Millard Sheets Art Center in 1937.
However, TLC didn’t really get its start until the 1980s, with the birth of the Child Development Center. Since then, we have seen our programs expand, evolve and adapt to the needs of the community and grow into the thriving institute it is today.
