December 18, 2015

Our campus is fairly quiet this weekend but there is plenty going on around LA and the OC! If you need a little help getting into the holiday spirit we recommend checking out one of these local events this weekend!

L.A. Zoo Lights: The L.A. Zoo transforms into a nighttime winter spectacular in December and word on the street is that it’s worth checking out. Glowing light animals, a beautiful water show and Santa and his reindeer take over the grounds for a festive holiday experience. This is an outdoor event so make sure you bundle up since it’s actually COLD in California for once! Purchase tickets and get additional information at lazoolights.org.

CHILL at Queen Mary: CHILL is back at the Queen Mary for another season of ice, ice and more ice. Walk through The Ice Kingdom, a giant igloo featuring larger-than-life intricate ice creations, ice tube down snowy hills, go ice skating, play paintball, take photos, enjoy live music and immerse yourself in all things December. For ticket prices and additional information visit queenmary.com.

WinterFest: New this year, Winterfest is yet another holiday festival taking place at the OC Fairgrounds. This one is perfect for families. Feed reindeer, say hello to Santa, go ice skating, ice tubing, and more. There are also carnival rides, cookie decorating, caroling and many other activities great for little ones and adults alike.
