Drag racing history was made this weekend at Fairplex as Erica Enders-Stevens became the first woman to win an NHRA Pro Stock world championship title in the final round of the Auto Club NHRA Finals.
This weekend’s race marked Enders-Stevens’ sixth victory of the season. She joins her heroes and friends Top Fuel champion Shirley Muldowney and three-time Pro Stock Motorcycle winner Angelle Sampey as the third woman to win a world championship in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
Other winners include Matt Hagan, who took the Funny Car world championship title, Andrew Hines in Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship, Morgan Lucas for Top Fuel race champion and Hector Arana Jr. who claimed the Pro Stock Motorcycle win. Read the full weekend recap here.
Congratulations to all the winners this weekend and we look forward to kicking off the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing season in February!
