What is IrishFest? IrishFest at Fairplex is our version of a St. Patrick’s Day party and we start the celebrations a week earlier than most. IrishFest is a blend of Irish culture and festival fun. It’s a weekend full of food, games, contests, prizes, live entertainment, crafts, kiddie carnival rides and family bonding. It’s a chance to git yer green on and have some fun with your loved ones.

In that spirit, we are giving away a prize package with all the essentials you’ll need for a good time at IrishFest at Fairplex.

  1. My favorite thing about Saint Patricks Day is cooking all the traditional foods,corn beef,cabbage and potatoes for my family, enjoying the.heritage stories my mom and I tell my son, just good ol’ family time with Guinness of course.

  2. St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays because for one day a year, everyone is Irish! How can you not be happy with an ice cold beer and some awesome Irish music! Erin go braugh!!!

  3. My favorite part ot St Patricks day is the whole fun spirit of the irish culture and paved like Fairplex give us an opportunity to experience the Irish Culture and fun!

  4. My favorite part of St. Patrick’s day is…. Everything! I love to cook Irish dishes, bake Irish desserts and of course, drink Irish beer! 🙂

  28. the Irish festivals are a great part of the Irish culture. It’s a great way to teach kids about their heritage and they can have fun doing it.   33. St. Patrick’s Day is a great day because I was born on March 17th and I am Irish.. I love celebrating with friends, exploring new places and meeting new people.

  34. I celebrate in honor of my 100{13e0898fe91ab02b80dd55b375775209b289a6340ed758532b2434d5d9d0e62c} Irish grandmother. Mary Ella ( Alice) O’Connor she got a job at 16 by putting her hair up in 1892- she was on her own. Married in 1909, child in Jan 1911 ( my Mother), husband died in 4/1911. Raised my Mom, helped raise me and showed me that a strong Irish woman could do anything she set her mind to. She died in 1972 when I was 18. I raise a glass to my O’Connor roots each year on St. Patricks Day and wear my green!

  35. I love St. Patrick’s Day for a lot of reasons! My Irish heritage, my Dad & brother are named after the St., & we get wear green!

  36. When I was younger my favorite part of st Patrick’s day was dressing in green, but when I would forget I would just point out my greens eyes to avoid getting pinched! 😉 now as an adult its the GREEN BEER! Happy St. Patty’s Day 🙂

My favorite part of St. Patrick’s Day is feeling Irish wearing green, and that came when my son asked me to dress him with something green to go to school , I replied we are not Irish although we loved them (they helped Mexican soldiers against injustices in a war), but my son came home almost crying because he was pinched at school. So then,every St. Patrick’s Day we wear something green.

  63. My favorite St Patrick’s Day was when I was about 11 and my sister was 8. We were out in the cold waiting to find leprechauns. We really were in the holiday spirit and thought we would find one. It was fun and a bonding experience. Now I am carrying on the tradition of finding them with my students this year, and they are having a blast trying to catch one.

  69. My favorite: is being able to take my mom , who is in a wheelchair/walker to enjoy all of the family functions ! Being in an open area is much more easier for her to move around and enjoy the beautiful events .. Also green beer is fun !!

  71. My favorite part of St Patrick’s day is the joy that just comes naturally that day, wear green or else! The rainbows, the Irish everything. When my husband grows out his beard there are little orange hairs mixed in there so he thinks he’s Irish for the whole day 🙂
