It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the New Year, and now we are in the second week of March? I guess it’s true what people say about time going by fast when you are having fun!
Speaking of fun, there are still lots of fun events you could join us for at Fairplex this month. Here are some of those events:
ArtReach: The Art of Music: The fourth annual ArtReach will run through Friday, March 21 in the Millard Sheets Art Center.
Be sure to stop by and support the talented work of hundreds of high schools from this region as they unveil their artwork inspired by this year’s theme: The Art of Music. Students were asked to consider the role music plays in our lives, how it relates to their own life experiences, and how it influences their thinking or feelings about the world around them. Art pieces include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography and film. For more information visit the ArtReach website.
Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals: f you love cars, boy do we have a treat for you! Gear up for a celebration of horsepower and torque when the O’Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine & Muscle Car Nationals rolls into Fairplex March 14 and 15.
This national celebration of horsepower & torque will fill the Fairplex campus with more than 1,000 high-performance muscle cars, pro-touring cars and street machines from across the country. Adult tickets are $20, ages 6-12 $5 and ages 5 and under are free. For more information visit our events page.
The Graffiti Run 5K: It’s finally back! The Graffiti Run is returning to Fairplex on Sunday, March 15. We assure you running this 5K will be the most colorful day of your life. And by this, we mean literally!
Our 5K course is much more than a good workout; it is a place where you can have a blast and create long-lasting memories with your family and friends. Everybody’s Birdmart: Everyone’s favorite bird show is back on Sunday, March 22. So, be sure to not make plans for the weekend that do not include shopping for birds of all shapes, breeds and sizes along with cages, seed, feeders, vitamins, toys, perches, vitamins and much more! Adult admission is $9, children aged 11 or younger can explore for free! For more information visit our events page.
Other Events: The RailGiants Train Museum, Family Winemakers Tasting, Millard Sheets Art Center Free Family Workshops, Palates and Palettes and FMCA 2015 Convention are also at Faiplex at various times throughout March.
