Asian American Expo & Lunar Palooza (Jan. 17-18): The Asian American Expo is back at Fairplex this weekend for two days of live entertainment, shopping, contests, delicious food and a colorful collaboration of Asian cultures. Also new this year is Lunar Palooza (Jan. 17), which will feature popular Asian-American singers and DJs, food trucks and shopping. Kings vs. Ducks (Jan. 17): It’s LA vs OC when the Los Angeles Kings play against the Anaheim Ducks Saturday night. Head down to the Staples Center to watch the game.
Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show (Jan. 18): The first Swap Meet & Classic Car Show of the year is at Fairplex bright and early Sunday morning. Los Angeles Kingdom Parade (Jan 19): Celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision of equality, justice and peace. The 30th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Kingdom Day parade takesplace along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Los Angeles. Enjoy food and live music at the end of the parade route. LACMA Holiday Monday (Jan. 19): LACMA is giving free admission to the public in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The museum is giving bilingual tours, free programs and art workshops. For more information visit lacma.org.
