ArtReach invites local high school students to showcase their artwork based on a specific theme. This year the theme is The Art of Pop Culture. More than 700 arts patrons came out to support the students, attending the awards ceremony and purchasing their favorite pieces after. Works included sculptures, paintings, photography and film.
Upon entering the lobby, guests are greeted by “Treading Loudly,” a large collection of shoes with elaborate custom designs by dozens of high school students. The result is a fun and creative wall of color.
The gallery itself is a beautiful commentary on pop culture and our society. Art pieces cover everything from materialism to drug and alcohol abuse, narcissism to a technology-dependent generation.
We are honored to house the talents of more than 200 students and we hope everyone in the community will be able to visit and appreciate display.
ArtReach is open from now until April 10th. Plan to visit on the weekend, Sat-Sun, noon – 4 p.m. Tours are available upon request.
Field trips are offered throughout the week. To sign up for a school field trip, please contact The Learning Centers at (909) 865-4263.
