“And” is the fifth-most used word in the English language. Apparently typing/writing “and” is something of a hassle, thus the ampersand (&) was born and has been used properly and improperly ever since. Now restauranteur Paul Mathis is attempting to seal a similar fate for the most commonly used word in the English language: “the.”…
