One of the things we love about working at Fairplex is the diversity in all of our programs. While fun runs and Fairs are definitely part of our game, community involvement is an equally — if not more — important part of who we are.
Every day we invite the community to our campus in the form of field trips, youth and adult classes, art events, child development services and a number of other community partnerships. We love seeing our neighbors visiting us on a regular basis!
But we can’t do this alone. A large part of our community effort comes from our volunteers in the Fairplex Ambassador program. We have blogged about this before and thought the start of a new year would be a great time to re-introduce the program to our new readers.
What You’ll Do
Fairplex ambassadors have numerous parts to play year-round. One day you might be helping out at our Halloween neighborhood party, the next you could be acting as a docent at a Farm field trip.
During the Fair you will likely be guiding students and teachers through the educational aspects of LACF. Events vary from month to month and it’s rare that you’ll do the same thing twice in a row.

Who You Will Impact
Being an ambassador gives you the opportunity to touch hundreds of lives. Students, teachers, families, teens and seniors will benefit from the time you spend with them. Fairplex employees also enjoy working side by side with volunteers on various community projects; it’s truly a family effort.

If being a Fairplex ambassador is something you want to do in 2016, signing up is easy! Just fill out the form on our website. Our community relations team will contact you and walk you through our orientation program. You’ll be volunteering in no time.
Being a Fairplex ambassador means you are both a part of our surrounding community and a part of the Fairplex family. Without you we wouldn’t be able to carry out as many events and services as we do. Thank you!
