BBQing on Labor Day Weekend

bbqThe Fair’s BBQ contest ended just a little bit ago with beef tri tip taking the best in show category, as well as the first place in the beef category. Congratulations to Jason Ward of San Bernardino, who walked away with a nice check and ribbon. Jason is pictured at left, along with his son and George Geary, the Culinary Styles coordinator for the Fair.
There were some other tasty dishes, too. Taking first place in the pork category was Marissa Sitz of Covina with her Tuscan Apple Brandy Grilled Tenderloin and Robin Littlefield, first in the fish category, with fish tacos. Yum-meee!
