It was another busy weekend at Fairplex! We had events happening all over campus and we spent some time with the community too. Here’s what went down:
Santa Cop Party: The Pomona Police Department hosted their annual Santa Cop party this weekend. We have spent the last few weeks helping to prepare for the event by collecting and sorting toys for the families who attended. We also brought Thummer, the LA County Fair mascot, out to the event to say hello to all the guests. We had a blast!

Holiday Half Marathon: The annual Holiday Half Marathon took over the campus this weekend. Hundreds of runners (dressed in all manner of festive attire!) enjoyed the Kool n’ Fit Festival and made the 13.1 mile trek through and around Fairplex!
Compost, Vermiculture & School Gardens Workshop: The Learning Centers at Fairplex hosted a gardening workshop at The Farm on Saturday. Attendees received their own compost and worm bins and learned best practices from Curtis Thomsen from the LA County Smart Gardening Program led the workshop.
