Fairplex campus buzzed with fun this weekend! Keep reading to see what went down:
Oktoberfest at Fairplex opened this weekend to a crowd 10,000 guests, dead set on eating, drinking and being merry. And merry they were!
Oktoberfest at Fairplex
In the Festhalle, The Rheinlanders Oom-Pah-Pah band carried guests through an evening of the Chicken Dance, conga lines and beer chugging contests. Meanwhile, guests in the courtyard rocked out with Journey tribute band DSB, played carnival games and chowed down on German fare (and King Taco.)
An enticing array of bratwurst, hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs were served, accompanied by sauerkraut, grilled onions and grilled bell peppers for toppings. Huge pretzels and thick cut Belgian fries were the perfect pairing for all the beer being consumed…
Meanwhile, the AMA Pro Flat Track Finals were taking place at the Grandstand Saturday night. From our view at Oktoberfest, we could see clouds of dust and hear the roar of engines late into the evening.
