Fairplex spent the last weekend of October in style with bubbles, beer, bikes and mazes. One of the best parts of the Fairplex campus is that we are so spread out. You can have multiple events running at the same time, which is exactly what went down this weekend.
Saturday morning was an overflow of bubbly foam and enthusiastic participants of the Bubble Run 5k. Decked out in white t-shirts, tutus, masks and a mish-mash of crazy gear, guests of all ages ran, danced and skipped through the course, ending it all with a huge dance party (covered in bubbles, of course.)
On our race track, LA Bikefest fans were getting their scare on at Spooky Kross. Cyclists rode their bikes through a dirt terrain marked by graves, cobwebs and skulls. The real fun was watching the cyclists themselves, dressed up for Halloween in all kinds of ridiculously fun attire. Have you ever seen Mario or Alvin the Chipmunk bike across bridges and through mini-canyons? No? We hadn’t either until this weekend.

We also celebrated at Oktoberfest final days of 2013. On Saturday we had more than 3,000 people join us for drinks, food and dancing in our Festplatz and Festhalle. Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare was also in full swing, especially with fun bands like Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger taking over for Ska Night. It’s always an adventure at Fairplex!
