Artists Judithe Hernández and Patssi Valdez have greatly influenced the aesthetic voices of Latinas. You can see their work at the Millard Sheets Art Center as part of the Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative.
From their childhoods in East Los Angeles to their experiences in the Chicano Civil Rights Movement of the 70s, both women have walked similar paths while thriving in their individual careers, thus inspiring the PST exhibit “One Path Two Journeys.”
We’re pleased to bring both artists to the Millard Sheets Art Center to discuss their work with us this Saturday. Join us as we chat with Judithe and Patssi and learn more about their inspiring lives.
