We ended January on a very positive, exciting note thanks to Barrett-Jackson’s generosity towards The Learning Centers at Fairplex.
Our auto students at the Alex Xydias Center for Automotive Arts (AXC) had the opportunity to build their very own roadster in partnership with L.A. Roadsters volunteers. This beautiful 1932 High-Boy was the result:
The roadster was sent to the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale — only one of the biggest car shows in the world!
Our students were able to watch their roadster be auctioned off for $105,000! The best part? The full hammer price went back to AXC so even more students will have the opportunity to start careers in the auto industry.
Thank you Barrett-Jackson and congratulations to our students, teachers and volunteers for your hard work and dedication to learning.
