We just wrapped up production of the 91st L.A. County Fair. It was crazy. It was fun. We had a blast. But now as the carnival rides are taken down and the scent of deep-fried food drifts away our attention turns towards Fall: crisp blue skies, changing leaves and our many upcoming events. Hello, October…
SoCal College Fair (Oct 4 & 5)
Our Fall college fair is coming up this weekend. We have everything from ACT/SAT prep to college application essays, plus hundreds of universities and technical schools will be on-site to answer questions.The Fair will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 – 8 p.m. for students and families to come together.
Oktoberfest (Th-Sun, beginning Oct. 10)
We’re no strangers to having a good time. Think of Oktoberfest as the Fair after-party, consisting of great music, tasty food and beer aplenty. We have tribute bands gracing the stage every weekend including favorites like Queen Nation and Sounds of Santana.
King Taco will also be up and running as well as our iPourIt Craft Beer Experience which debuted at the L.A. County Fair! And of course, because it is Oktoberfest, there will be an oom-pah-pah band, games and competitions and the Chicken Dance.
Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare (Th-Sun, beginning Oct. 10)
When Halloween and Rob Zombie come together you know it’s going to be a great time. Fairplex is hosting Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare, complete with haunted house horrors and a killer concert line-up with favorites like The Used, Reel Big Fish, Dirtyphonics and others. It all starts next Thursday, Oct. 10th. We’re pretty stoked.
Street Food Cinema (Oct. 19)
Continuing in the Halloween festivities we will be hosting our first Street Food Cinema. We’ll have food trucks like Kogi BBQ and Cousins Maine Lobster on hand to serve your favorite dishes as well as live music. After your bellies are filled, settle down for a movie night under a Southern California night sky: Nightmare on Elm Street. It is almost Halloween, after all.
On top of that, we also have a Blacklight 5k, Bubble Run, our annual RV Expo, Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo and a ton of other events.
Just because the Fair ends, doesn’t mean the fun does…
