January Events at Fairplex: New year, new adventures

2013 was a whirlwind of events old and new at Fairplex. We can’t believe 2014 is already upon us! From the fun adventures of Asia to the historic roots of the Roadster show to the outrageous antics of a literal beer run, Fairplex is kicking off the year with style. Which event suits your fancy?

Asian American Expo, Asian diversity Asian American Expo: The Asian American Expo celebrates the talent, creativity and diversity of the Asian community. The event features entertainment, food and vendors from many cultures including Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines. It’s all happening Jan. 18-19th at Fairplex. America's Most Beautiful Roadster Winner 201365th Grand National Roadster Show: The finest roadsters in the country roar into Fairplex at the end of this month. More than 500 roadsters, customs, hot rods and motorcycles will fill our expansive expo halls, competing for top titles including the “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster” award. Live bands, trophy girl contests and model car competitions fill the last weekend of January with fun and memorable moments. Visit www.rodshows.com for additional information.

Tap 'N' Run logoTap ‘N’ RunSome people enjoy running. Others would rather drink beer. A select few do both at the same time. The Tap n’ Run 4k is coming to Fairplex and it’s going to get crazy. 2.5 miles. 4 beer stops. All yours for the running and drinking. Participants show up in their funnest, weirdest costumes (some groups even deign to dress as giant red cups, assuming a beer pong formation) and skip, frolic, jog and lollygag their way from the starting line to the finish where they are handed a refreshing brew.
