Be True to Your School

September 21, 2011

We’ve got a lot of school pride that’s showing. What better way to celebrate your alma mater than a day at the Fair? We don’t think there is any, so each year we host college days for different schools in the area. Today we have the good folks from the University of La Verne (hence the tide of green today as that’s ULV’s color!). Tomorrow is Mount San Antonio College. We’ve also got two of Southern California’s greatest rivals coming up—UCLA on Sept. 24 and USC on Sept. 30. Check our promotions page for other local schools participating.
If you are a student, faculty or staff of one of these fine institutions, you get in free on your college’s day (you need a coupon from our site and valid school ID). Alumni also receive special discounts at participating schools. Some colleges are running other special programming, so check with them to see what’s happening! College day guests are also encouraged to wear their school’s colors.
Who wants two free tickets (you don’t even have to be in college!)? Give the first names of the character mascots of USC and UCLA. First person to answer correctly wins!

  1. Did anyone win this yet? 🙂 I’m going to say USC’s mascot name is Traveler and the first name of the UCLA mascot is Joe (his full name is Joe Bruin). He can often be seen with Josephine Bruin.
