Looking Back at the 2024 LA County Fair!

May 30, 2024

The fourth and final weekend of the 2024 LA County Fair has passed! So we’re looking back at the fun memories we created together…

We started off the fair strong with our first post-pandemic parade since 2019! Nogales High School Nobel Regiment lead the way followed by Fairplex President & CEO, Walter Marquez, on a lowrider car. The parade brought smiles to faces all around! On the other side of the grounds, cheerleaders and dancers competed with SHARP International and filled the fair with impressive bows and excited laughs – congrats to all the performers.

Continuing the fun, celebrations, and festivities, Pride Day returned to the fair with music and dancers, and an indoor party once the sun went down. LGBT+ community members, friends, family, and allies alike all had an exciting day at the fair. Black on the Block brought guests together to support Black-owned businesses from the region. The mini marketplace showcased art, music, food, and good vibes all around.

For another year, the LA County Fair has been certified by KultureCity, the nation’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with “invisible” disabilities. To best support our guests, we introduced Thoughtful Thursday – a set time where the lights and sounds of the fair were dimmed or turned off to create a space for all guests to enjoy. There were also bags with fidget toys and sensory headphones available for check out at our Guest Relations booths.

Overall, the fair was a huge success with amazing weather, more than 50 baby animals born during the month of May, 25,000 lbs. of potatoes used to make the world’s Tasti(eat) chips, and an increased in visitors from 2023. Thank you to all who came out to the 2024 LA County Fair! See you in 2025!
