The first weekend at the LA County Fair has come and gone, but memories were made and fun was had! This past weekend, the Fair opened its doors to the public where lots of firsts rolled in, including a hot honey funnel cake chicken sandwich, sriracha dogs, pizza fries, and a skating rink. WAR started the 2024 Concert Series off hot and it only gets hotter from here! Grab your hats, water, family, and head on out to the 2024 LA County Fair.
Opening weekend was filled with fun, parades, music, and all the food you can think of. The LA County Fair is a great celebration of California’s agricultural history, and it’s equally famous for its diverse and indulgent food offerings. Some hot favorites were the fluffy taquitos, bacon bombs, and ramen tacos. Cheer and dance competitions also took place – BIG shout hot to all the competitors, you all looked SHARP!
Although the first weekend has come to an end, the fun of the Fair has not! We will be back with Pride at the Fair on Saturday, May 11th; Black on the Block on Sunday, May 12th; and an exciting Mother’s Day brunch. May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. Throughout the Fair, various local community partners will be joining us at Community Corner near the Big Red Barn to help spread awareness and provide resources for guests.
Not a foodie? That’s okay! You can still ride with us next week when T.I., Nelly, Berlin, Pat Benatar & Neil Geraldo, and more artists come to town! And don’t miss out on one of the many shows like goat milking, calf feeding, lumberjacks, and NextFest. Thummer hopes to make new and more forever friends at the LA County Fair!
