Fair season is here at the LA County Fair! With delicious food, thrilling rides, and interactive experiences, it’s the perfect place to spend an unforgettable day with friends and family. I spent the day trying outrageous rides, delicious food, and playing games in hopes of winning a giant stuffed animal. If you’re planning a visit to the Fair this year, here’s your guide to a day full of flavor, fun, and memories.
Start your day with a must-have family photo in front of the iconic welcome sign – it’s the perfect way to capture the beginning of your adventure. Then head straight to Gourmet Alley, where the fair food dreams begin. At Biggy’s, I tried the newest menu item: a 1-pound turkey leg glazed with Mike’s Hot Honey, and it was amazing. The sweet heat of the honey paired beautifully with the smokey meat. Unlike the massive traditional drumstick, this smaller version makes for a perfect on-the-go fair meal.
Need a way to cool down in the heat? Grab a pineapple Dole Whip! The dairy-free treat that’s as refreshing as it is Instagram-worthy. Available as a float or in a cup, it’s ideal for staying cool and satisfying your sweet tooth.
Once the food settled, I made my way to the Fun Zone, where the sky was the limit – literally. My favorite ride? Joker 360! This smooth, swinging thrill ride sways you upside down 120 feet in the air. A must-ride for adrenaline junkies! I also loved Aviator, a new swing ride that lifts you 175 feet for a panoramic view of the fairgrounds. A blissful experience with a cool breeze to match.
Not into thrill rides? No worries, the Fun Zone is packed with classic games down every aisle, from basketball to cup pong, with prizes practically calling your name. I gave the milk bottle toss a try and, well… it’s definitely harder than it looks. Still, the fun was unbeatable.
The LA County Fair offers an unforgettable blend of excitement, nostalgia, and new memories. Whether you’re here for the food, the rides, or just to soak in the fair vibes, this year’s event is absolutely worth the visit!
