Have you seen our new billboards for this year’s L.A. County Fair? They are getting quite a bit of play out there in the blogosphere. We’ve been mentioned in adrants.com, LAist.com and LATimesblogs. Woo hoo.
Take a look for yourself:
These are just two of 10 billboards promoting the Fair. And isn’t that a Hot Dog on a Stick I see in McCain’s hand?! The Fair-ey Blogster holds no political affiliations, but is it OK to vote for someone because of the food on a stick they eat? (I think Hillary would’ve been a deep-fried White Castles slammer).
Free Gas is my favorite. It’s fun to have a chuckle at such puerile humor once in awhile. So, yeah, we’re promoting free gas. Free pies (cow, that is) and mother’s (goats) milk, too. Poor cows. They are always the butt of jokes and ridiculed in the reports of some government official who fannies about with his research, trying to toot his own horn.
Actually, it is true that cows produce 75 percent of the total methane produced by all animals, according to a report by CNN. It’s not their fault. They don’t intentionally pass wind just to hot house their neighbor. They have FOUR stomachs! They can’t help it! Being one of the largest beef producers in the world, scientists from Argentina are attempting to measure the true output from a single cow so they can figure out what to do with all that bovinus flatulus. Read on.
So, as you drive along the highways and byways, look for our billboards. Then come back here and tell me which one you like best.
