So, L.A. County Fair fans, we are seven days out!! Wow, the summer went by fast. Although school is back in session, around here it’s still summer to us and we think you need a little Fair-cation. Before the fun of 18 days of the Fair begins, we hold a little shindig the night before we call the Premiere Party.
Each year on the night before opening day, the Fair holds a snappy gala that benefits the Fairplex Education Foundation, one of four non-profit foundations at Fairplex. The party is held in the Flower & Garden Pavilion, which this year is themed “Escape to Hawaii – An Enchanted Island Experience” – complete with an erupting volcano! There are fancy drinks with little umbrellas and lots of delectable edibles. Honorees of this year’s Premiere Party are Ann and Stephen Morgan. The Morgans are big supporters of the Fair. Dr. Morgan is a past chairman of the Los Angeles County Fair Association and is also the president of the University of La Verne.
Tickets can be purchased online here. Tickets are $125, a major portion of which is tax deductible. The party gets underway at 6 p.m. Thursday. Aloha!
