Howdy fair-goers! Weekend 3 of the LA County Fair featured Thoughtful Thursday, the Performing Arts Showcase, Generosity on the Rocks, and the tradition of Girl Scouts Takeover!
Started off weekend three with the first ever dedicated day to neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive guests, Thoughtful Thursday. The LA County Fair and Fairplex is certified by KultureCity, the nation’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities. To best support our guests, we had conducted a series of accommodations for our guests, such as dimming the fair and carnival lights and sounds, PLUS providing bags with fidget toys and sensory headphones.
Generosity on the Rocks was a new event for this year. Guests 21 and older were invited to an exclusive whiskey tasting event hosted at the Top of the Park, before Dustin Lynch performed on the Grandstand stage. All proceeds from this event will go towards the educational programming of The Learning Centers at Fairplex.
Thank you to all who have come to visit the LA County Fair so far – but we’re not done yet! Come back next weekend for our final days. We are open May 23 – 27 from 11am to 11pm each day.
Little chefs will kick off the weekend at the Home Arts building by putting together tasty dishes followed by a live BBQ cook-off. Still looking for ways to celebrate and thank a Veteran in your life? Make your way to the Fair where FREE tickets are available for those who have served our country as a thank you this Memorial Day, Monday May 27. Additionally, resource booths will be available for guests to check out along the Big Red Barn. Come chat with people from the US Army, Department of Rehab, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Vet Hunters Project, and more!
Tickets are still available. Buy online & save. www.lacountyfair.com
