The LA County Fair will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary this May with a “Back To Our Roots” theme. That’s right, the first Fair took place in 1922, and is celebrating its centennial! The 100th Anniversary celebration will begin Thursday, May 5 through Monday, May 30, 2022, and will pay homage to the past 100 years of fair food, fun and memories.
This year’s historic and vintage badge-inspired logo contains several elements that represent the history of the Fair. To start, the roots growing out of the logo are depictive of the “Back To Our Roots” theme as well as the Farm. The barley icons are emblematic of what propagated the Fairplex location in the past, and the olive branches symbolize peace, reconciliation and pay tribute to the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition. The Ferris wheel signifies the Fair’s iconic attractions, and the cow represents the agricultural/farm aspects that the Fair brings to the community annually.
From the logo design to various exhibits, we will be highlighting the rich history of an event that has brought smiles to countless individuals. With an emphasis on classic fair food, animal & agricultural experiences and carnival rides, the 2022 LA County Fair will be one that you certainly do not want to miss!
