The 2017 LA County Fair is officially open! We kicked things off with our traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, held at the brand new Le Grande Ferris Wheel XL.

Our CEO Miguel Santana, along with Pomona city officials, officially opened the Fair with a quick cut of the ribbon and an invitation to ride the Le Grande Wheel XL.
The new Ferris wheel has 36 air-conditioned pods. Employees, guests and Fair officials alike all took a spin.
After the ride, we went to the Millard Sheets Art Center patio (now a venue called Mi POCO LA) for the rest of our opening ceremonies.
We’re just a couple hours away from our Opening Day parade, and then it’s time to explore the rest of the Fairgrounds, once the weather cools down. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, stay in the shade, and take advantage of our air-conditioned shopping halls and indoor exhibits.
The carnival and outdoor attractions can wait until the sun goes down 🙂
Stay tuned for more Fair fun! We’re just getting started…
