Don't Whine…Wine!

OK, L.A. County Fair fans, just 10 days. It’s almost here. And as you are planning your day at the Fair, for those of you 21 and older, why not add in a wine education class at the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Marketplace? There are also spirits and extra virgin olive oil classes.
Our wine education program is just that – extremely educational and extremely fun. Wine experts (many of whom serve as judges for the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits Competition held in May) from around the globe conduct classes on some very interesting topics like wine and cheese pairing, and wine and chocolate. Other classes include California Cabernets, Wines of Chile, Varietals of Southern Italy, Tequila 101 and Yo Ho Ho – the Lowdown on Rum. The classes are $17 per wine/spirits class, and $8 for extra virgin olive oil classes. Samples are part of the class! You can register for classes online. Check out our Web page.
Even if you don’t take a class, visit the Wine & Spirits Marketplace for wine tasting of our competitions medal winners, beer, cheese and olive oil tasting, too. Grab a bite at the Marketplace Cafe or do some shopping at the Crushed Grape.
