Behind-the-Scenes: America’s Kids

Our Creative team is hard at work building exhibits for the Fair. We stopped by their office this morning to say hello and take a look at what they have planned for America’s Kids this year. Take a look!

One work station is dedicated to bringing childhood stories to life. Peter Rabbit’s carrots, our friends from Make Way For Ducklings and giant-size books are all part of our Adventures in Literature theme.

Fair Snapshot: Job Fair at Fairplex

The start of summer means Fair season is right around the corner! Today we’re hosting our annual job fair, where we hire more than 1,000 seasonal workers for the Fair.

Apply online at lacountyfairjobs.com, then come to Fairplex for a face-to-face interview now -3 p.m. at the Avalon building!

Enter the 2016 America’s Kids Competition!

Community competitions are a long-standing tradition of the LA County Fair. From quilting to baking and everything in between, our Fair guests have continued to contribute wonderful entries to our various competitions.

America’s Kids 2014 

While most of our competition entries have been submitted, we want to invite our younger guests (preschool – high school) to submit their work for the America’s Kids competitions.

We are accepting entries in crafts, painting, creative writing, photography, needlework and a number of other categories. Visit the LA County Fair Competitions page to learn more / apply.
