Didn’t envy the judges at the Cheesecake competition yesterday. Well, I did in that they got to taste all the entries. But I didn’t because all the cheesecakes looked so yummy, how could they choose a winner?
\nWell, they did. Two categories – savory and sweet. The winners are:
\nSweet:
\nFirst place – Arleen Taylor of West Covina for her blackberry, Kahlua and Vodka cheesecake
\nSecond place – Silvio Gonzales of Chino for his Fiesta cheescake
\nThird place – Lina Fernandez of Covina for her New York cheesecake with strawberry puree
\nSavory:
\nFirst place – Rebecca Mourer of La Habra for her jalapeno, bacon and cheddar cheesecake topped with BBQ sauce
\nSecond place – Arleen Taylor of West Covina for her blue cheese, bacon and pecan cheesecake
\nThird place – Peggy Linberg of Upland for her chipotle, sausage and cheese cheesecake.
