County Fair.<br \/>\nHis recipe for Big J\u2019s Spare Ribs won not only a 1st place ribbon and a $100 check for the Pork Class of the competition, but also a $300 check for winning Grand Prize. Judges also evaluated overall table themes of the competitors and Ward\u2019s ironically paid tribute to another L.A. team \u2013 the Dodgers.<br \/>\nPlacing second in the <strong>Pork Class<\/strong> to Ward was Dan S. Kamps of Chino Hills with his Big Boy B.B.Q Triple Pepper Pulled Pork Butt recipe. Jerry L. Perser of Winnetka was 3rd prize winner with his Baby Back Ribs.<br \/>\n<strong>For Best BBQ &#8211; Fish<\/strong>, Robin L. Littlefield of South Pasadena won 1st prize for Maple\/Rosemary Glazed Salmon (she also won a Culinary Styles contest\u00a0in 2009). Kristine Burns of Las Vegas placed 2nd with her Kris\u2019 Fish Rub recipe.<br \/>\n<strong>For Best BBQ &#8211; Beef<\/strong> , 1st prize went to Bud Harte of Claremont for his Smoked Tri-Tip recipe. Another 2009 winner was Scott T. Cushman of Orange who placed 2nd for his Scott\u2019s Gourmet Burgers with Carmerlized Onions. Joe Santana of Mar Vista (another winner in 2009) won 3rd prize for his Pineapple Meatloaf.<br \/>\n<strong>Best BBQ &#8211; Poultry Class<\/strong> were Marissa L.
