What's quacking so far at the L.A. County Fair?

July 11, 2011

Happy Monday, everyone! New blogger here – you can just call me “A Fair to Remember.”
I’ve only been here a few days, but I’ll be the first one to tell you that there is so much “quacking” already here on the fairgrounds, like these geese at Penelope’s Duck Pond, part of Fairview Farms.

They’re hiding in the video, but the pond is also home to some beautiful ducks and some brand new ducklings, which prefer to hang out under the shade of of some plants instead of the July sun. I certainly don’t blame them!
And to celebrate such noise, let’s have a little contest. The first person to tell me what breed these geese are will win a nifty L.A. County Fair Frisbee. Send your best guesses (and home addresses!) to contests@lacountyfair.com .
