“The wheels on the bus go round and round…”
Help us keep them going!
Through the hands-on, curriculum-based field trips provided by the FairKids Discovery Club, nearly 100,000 young people in our community will explore a wide variety of subjects in the “world’s largest classroom®,” enhanced by the Fair’s lesson plans based on standards from the California Department of Education. From meeting live animals face-to-face at The Big Red Barn® to panning for gold at California’s Heritage Square, these interactive experiences take children through “a day full of learning cleverly disguised as fun®!”
Due to state-wide budget cuts, local schools are relying more than ever on contributions from local community members to support educational activities such as these fun-filled trips to the Fair, especially to cover the ever-growing costs of transportation.
The Big Yellow Bus Program raises funds to underwrite the costs of bus transportation for students in Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, and San Dimas. Your support will provide the children in your neighborhood or the school near your office with an education-packed day at the Fair this coming September.
