Fairplex Snapshot: Farm Crops

One of the best parts about having an urban farm in Los Angeles County? The weather is pretty warm all year long, meaning we always have crops in season.

Menus at our hotel restaurant, McKinley’s Grille, and our catering offerings at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center are based on which crops are in season at The Farm.

Depending on the season, field trip students will be able to see an abundance of vegetables and fruits — pumpkins, egg plants, chilis, carrots, peppers, olives, apples etc — growing in our five-acre space.

Thank you to our donors!

Our auto education fundraising campaign ended last Friday and the results are in!

thank you Thank you to our donors! Thanks to our generous donors, we raised a total of $43,715 for the Alex Xydias and Pete Chapouris Center for the Automotive Arts! AXC, as the program is referred to, is a two-year program preparing high school students for a career in the automotive industry.

Donations from this campaign will go towards tuition fees, field trip costs and automotive equipment for our classes.

Fairplex Snapshot: Neighborhood Halloween Party

Every year our Community team hosts a neighborhood Halloween party for the families surrounding Fairplex!

It’s always a fun time: kids in brightly colored costumes playing games, getting their faces painted, picking up pumpkins and, of course, plenty of candy to go around.

Thank you to all the parents and children who participate each year! We love spending time getting to know our neighbors.
