Pomona Swap Meet: A History

The Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show is this Sunday! A long-standing tradition at Fairplex, the swap meet is one of many car-culture events we have on a year-round basis.

pomona swap meet 1024x704 Pomona Swap Meet: A History Since 1975, millions of auto enthusiasts and experts have come to Fairplex to shop, swap and show off their rides. What started as one-day event with a handful of vendors and a $100 advertising budget has grown to include five shows per year, taking over a large part of our campus (15 miles, to be exact.)

It’s quite a sight to see so many original and restored classic vehicles in one place: Pre-1985 Classics, Corvettes, Porsches, Pre-1959 Street Rods, Pre-1985 Volkswagens and Imports.

In addition to the car show, there are thousands of auto parts, automobilia and accessories to shop. It’s truly a classic car paradise.

We’re proud to have been a part of this globally-known event since Day 1. Come shop, swap and cruise with us this Sunday! More info at pomonaswapmeet.com.

Fairplex Weekend Recap: Asian American Expo

We were b u s y this weekend at Fairplex! Check out what our campus looked like:

Asian American Expo
We kicked things off with the Asian American Expo and it. was. packed. It seems like everywhere you went there was something to eat, buy or do.

We had a blast checking out the cosplay at Anime Impulse, watching guests chow down on fried squid, noodles and desserts of every kind, and clapping along with audiences captivated by Taiko drummers, Tahitian dancers, martial arts demonstrations and more in the expo halls.

On top of that, the Expo also featured several live musical performances, DJ sets and a sample clothing sale.

It was impossible to be bored for a single second and we are already looking forward to next year’s Lunar New Year celebrations!

Pomona Swap Meet
Literally hours after the first night of Asian American Expo came to a close, car enthusiasts started rolling in for the monthly Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show.
