Our amazing staff and volunteers have been busy bottling up a variety of delicious treats: chili paste, vegetable and fruit preserves, spice rubs, teas, chips and many other Farm-fresh items.

Items can be purchased separately or in bundles as gift boxes.

Most boxes range from $30-35, depending on the content. Stocking stuffers start at $2 — all are available to the public as long as items are in stock!

Fairplex Snapshot: Harvest Festival Shopping

For us, the holiday season always begins with the opening of the Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show. Take a quick look at what is planned for this year, as shown on KTLA yesterday:

The Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show is a truly delightful experience. Upon entering you are greeted by twinkling holiday lights, upbeat music, the smell of tasty treats, giant hanging stockings, the bustle of other shoppers and, if you’re lucky, you might happen to see Santa walking around.

The real draw, of course, are the hundreds of vendors, all selling unique, artisan items of many kinds. From ornaments to clothing, hair accessories to dog costumes, paintings to sketches and beyond, it’s easy to get lost in a holiday shopping haze.

The fun is almost over for today, but the Harvest Festival will be open Saturday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) inside Expo Hall 4 at Fairplex.

It’s hard to believe that 2017 is almost over. We’re ready to close out the year with plenty of holiday cheer here at Fairplex, from toy drives to holiday shopping. Keep reading to see what we have planned for the most wonderful time of the year:

The Original Harvest Festival Arts & Crafts Show is the perfect place to find unique handmade gifts. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of cheery holiday music, twinkling lights and sweet and savory treats as you shop hundreds of artisan goods.

pomonaswapmeet 300x300 December at Fairplex Pomona Swap Meet (Dec. 3): Shop, swap and sell at the last Pomona Swap Meet of 2017!

Shop thousands of car parts and accessories, enjoy the sight of hundreds of classic cars, and chat with fellow auto enthusiasts.

Sunday, Dec. 3. 5 a.m. – 2 p.m. Parking $10 at Gate 17. General admission is $10, children 12 & under are free! More info available at pomonaswapmeet.com.

Fairplex Events twilightcruise 300x200 December at Fairplex NHRA Museum Twilight Cruise & Toy Drive (Dec. 6): The December Twilight Cruise includes the annual Toy Drive! Cars cruising in with an unwrapped toy or gift of $5 or more in value will receive free admission to the cruise. All gifts will benefit the CHIPS for Kids annual campaign, which provides toys to at-risk local youth and families.

Walgreens will also be on hand to sell toys and gifts if you don’t have time to shop beforehand. ALL customs, exotics, hot rods and sports cars are welcome, no matter the year!

As a special holiday gift, the NHRA Motorsports Museum will be offering free admission after 3 p.m. Browse the museum gift shop for the hot rodder in your life! More information at fairplex.com.

HolidayHalf 300x189 December at Fairplex Holiday Half Marathon (Dec. 9 & 10) Kick of winter break at the most wonderful run of the year! The fun starts on Saturday, Dec.10 with the Health & Fitness Expo, Ugly Sweater 5K and the Kids 1K Penguin Waddle.

Runners can also register during this time. The actual half marathon is on Sunday, with runners starting their race at Fairplex. For registration information, schedule of events and more, click here.

jurassic 300x227 December at Fairplex Jurassic Quest (Dec. 29 – Jan 1): Jurassic Quest is a dinosaur adventure for the whole family. Encounter life-size animatronic dinosaurs, explore the T-rex and Triceratops fossil digs, run through inflatable mazes, try your hand at Dino crafts and much more.

Admission is $20 for kids ages 2-12 and adults with discounts for seniors and members of the military and police. Open Friday, 3 – 8 p.m. and Saturday – Monday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. For more event information, click here.

Some things never change, and the Harvest Festival Arts & Crafts Show are one of them. As you walk towards the entrance you’re greeted by a very merry Santa on stilts, singing holiday hits and welcoming you to the show.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by carolers and vendors selling everything from clothes to Christmas decorations, all handmade.

Shoppers take their time, looking at the many booths, chatting with artisans and purchasing gifts for themselves and their loved ones. There’s even a children’s section, where little ones can take their turn at arts & crafts.

After a couple hours of shopping, guests could choose from a number of hearty options from the food court before heading home.

The Harvest Festival has arrived at Fairplex!

We love the holiday music, festive lights, tasty food and seeing the creativity of all the vendors. Ornaments, jewelry, decorations, photography, clothing, home decor… the list goes on, and each item is handmade by talented artisans.  We would choose the Harvest Festival over the chaos and generic gifts from the mall any day.

Fairplex Snapshot: Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show

Deck the halls and everything else! The holidays have officially arrived at Fairplex by way of the Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show. We took a stroll through the event to see what’s out there this year. Take a look!

The Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show is open tonight until 6 p.m. and runs Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m .- 6 p.m. Check our website for parking details and ticket prices. Hope to see you soon!

L.A. Weekender: Let the holidays begin

It’s actually COLD in Southern California! Even though temperatures warm up again this weekend, it feels like December today which is enough to get us in the holiday spirit. Add some cheer to your weekend with these fun happenings in Los Angeles:

2014 Harvest Festival at Fairplex 

Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show (Fri – Sun): The arrival of the Harvest Festival is a sure sign that the holidays are here. Enjoy the atmosphere of festive lights, deliciously warm winter treats and row upon row of handmade gifts all weekend at Fairplex. For more information, visit harvestfestival.com.

Village Holiday Promenade & Tree Lighting (Friday): Head over to downtown Claremont tonight after work for entertainment, Mr. & Mrs. Claus visits and the annual tree lighting ceremony.

First Fridays Los Angeles: First Fridays are a big deal in all parts of L.A. Unwind from the work week with one of these great events:

  • Pasadena Art Museums: The Pasadena Museum of California Art starts their weekend early with free museum admission from noon – 5 p.m. After that, consider visiting the nearby Norton Simon Museum is also free on the first Friday of each month after 5.
  • First Fridays Long Beach Holiday Edition: Stroll the art walk, live performances from local musicians, dining and shopping tonight. Say hi to Santa Claus and his elves, watch the annual tree and Menorah lighting, sip on hot cocoa and sing along with carolers.
  • Venice Beach First Fridays: On the Westside, Friday nights are all about Abbot Kinney Blvd. Pick your dinner from tons of food trucks, browse open galleries and take advantage of extended shopping hours.

Holiday Lights at the Getty (Saturday): No museum does the holidays better than The Getty. Get there by magic hour (sunset) and check out the lights and festive displays through 9 p.m.

Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show (Sunday): It’s the last swap meet of the year! Shop thousands of auto parts and stock up for the month, check out the classic car show and chat with fellow car lovers from all parts of Southern California. Visit pomonaswapmeet.com for more info.

Fairplex Weekend Recap: Holiday season kicks off at Fairplex

This weekend was the perfect beginning to the holidays at Fairplex. In Expo Hall 4 we had the Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show, where guests shopped thousands of unique handcrafted gifts, and got swept into the holiday spirit by live performances, twinkling lights and a delicious array of tasty cookies, cakes, nuts and other winter goodies.

Meanwhile over in Expo Hall 6, the furriest and friendliest of our visitors took up residence Saturday afternoon at the Holiday Pet Expo. Pets and their owners took photos with Santa, sampled treats and watched agility and obedience demonstrations. Tis’ the season to determine who’s naughty or nice, after all!

Finally, Sunday Funday began bright and early at the Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show on the other side of Fairplex. Flocks of car enthusiasts spent the morning and afternoon perusing auto parts, checking out classic cars and enjoying a shared appreciation of the beauty of the automobile.

Artists For Art’s Sake (ongoing): The Artists For Art’s Sake exhibition opened last weekend at the Millard Sheets Art Center and will run through mid-December. Browse a vast collection of paintings, photography, mixed media and other unique artwork created by local artists. All artwork is on sale if you see any compelling pieces that you would like to add to your collection with proceeds benefiting The Learning Centers at Fairplex.
