What does a 487-acre campus look like during the holidays? Festive of course! Countless Christmas trees, fake snow (this is LA County after all), thousands of twinkling lights and even a reindeer or two can be spotted throughout our enormous campus. Take a look at some of our favorite spots in this three part series:
Holidays at Fairplex Part I: Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center
Home to many end-of-year parties, the Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center is full of festive vignettes, strings of lights cascading from the ceiling, smiling snowmen, and Christmas trees and snow in every corner. Check out some of the parties we’ve already hosted:
What many people don’t know is that our Creative team — the masterminds behind the LA County Fair exhibits — are also the elves who make the holiday magic happen too. Take a closer look at the vignettes with honorary Creative team member Sophie:
We are continually blown away by the attention to detail our team puts into creating the perfect Fairplex Winter Wonderland.
Stay tuned for a look at McKinley’s Grille, the Avalon and the rest of Fairplex during the holidays.
This weekend was non-stop fun both on and off the Fairplex campus! From the Holiday Half Marathon & 5K to the festivities in Downtown Pomona, our staff and guests alike had a blast celebrating with winter fun this weekend. Here are some of our highlights:
Neighborhood Holiday Cookie Party
Every year we invite our neighbors to join us for a holiday cookie decorating party. Families are invited to an evening of games, crafts, face painting, storytelling and, of course, cookies galore. We love having the opportunity to meet our neighbors and start the holiday season off right with them.
Santa Cop Community Outreach Program
The Pomona Police Department’s Santa Cop event is one we look forward to every year.
This community program collects toys for children who have lost loved ones due to crimes in the local area.
Thummer, the LA County Fair mascot paid a visit for photos with the kids and to support the cause. Thank you Pomona PD for all that you do for our city!
Downtown Pomona Christmas Parade
Fairplex had its very own float in the annual Downtown Pomona Christmas parade! Special thanks to everyone who helped us decorate and shared in the holiday fun.
Holiday Half Marathon & 5K
As it is every year, Fairplex was the home base for the Holiday Half Marathon & 5K. As you can see, it was quite festive!

If you’re a resident of Southern California, you have been keeping tabs on the numerous wildfires wreaking havoc throughout our region. Many have been forced to evacuate, bringing their animals along with them.
Fairplex has once again opened its barns to horses and large farm animals in need of shelter during the evacuations — so far we have about 23 horses staying with us.
If you or someone you know is in need of a place to keep farm animals, please give us a call at (909) 865-4600 to confirm space availability. We have 250 stalls available, 20 of which are currently in use as of Thursday, at 1 p.m. Enter through Gate 12 off White Avenue upon arrival.
Thank you to the volunteers and staff who are working to provide a clean, safe space for these animals and their owners.
Our thoughts go out to those being affected by the fires, and to those who are bravely combating the flames.
The Farm at Fairplex has gift boxes for sale this holiday season!
Our amazing staff and volunteers have been busy bottling up a variety of delicious treats: chili paste, vegetable and fruit preserves, spice rubs, teas, chips and many other Farm-fresh items.
Items can be purchased separately or in bundles as gift boxes.
Most boxes range from $30-35, depending on the content. Stocking stuffers start at $2 — all are available to the public as long as items are in stock!
For more information regarding pricing, orders and pick-up, give us a call at (909) 865-4157 or shoot our Farm manager, Don DeLano a message email@example.com.

We like to share our weekend experiences through the eyes of our guests! Here are some of our favorites from the Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show and the Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show:
Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show
Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show
For us, the holiday season always begins with the opening of the Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show. Take a quick look at what is planned for this year, as shown on KTLA yesterday:
The Original Harvest Festival Art & Craft Show is a truly delightful experience. Upon entering you are greeted by twinkling holiday lights, upbeat music, the smell of tasty treats, giant hanging stockings, the bustle of other shoppers and, if you’re lucky, you might happen to see Santa walking around.
The real draw, of course, are the hundreds of vendors, all selling unique, artisan items of many kinds. From ornaments to clothing, hair accessories to dog costumes, paintings to sketches and beyond, it’s easy to get lost in a holiday shopping haze.
The fun is almost over for today, but the Harvest Festival will be open Saturday (10 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) inside Expo Hall 4 at Fairplex.
