A panoramic view of Artists For Art’s Sake
Artists For Art’s Sake (ongoing): The Artists For Art’s Sake exhibition opened last weekend at the Millard Sheets Art Center and will run through mid-December. Browse a vast collection of paintings, photography, mixed media and other unique artwork created by local artists. All artwork is on sale if you see any compelling pieces that you would like to add to your collection with proceeds benefiting The Learning Centers at Fairplex. CDA Cares Dental Clinic (Nov 21 – Nov 22): Also on Fairplex campus is the free CDA Cares Dental Clinic. Volunteer dental professionals are offering their services today (Nov. 21) through Saturday (Nov. 22) including cleanings, fillings and other standard dental procedures. Park at Gate 9 and come to Expo Hall 4. Doors open at 5:30 a.m. Visit the official website for details.
Human Trafficking Awareness Concert (Nov. 21): Tonight in Pomona artists, musicians, photographers and graphic designers have volunteered to come together in hopes of bringing the community together for a cause. Come share an evening of drinks, music and discussions. All proceeds made from drinks will be donated to the Coalition Organization Against Trafficking In Woman (CATW). The Queen Mary CHILL (ongoing): This Friday kicks off Queen Mary’s annual CHILL party. Their giant dome is frozen over and transformed into a giant igloo and is home to The Ice Kingdom — an awe-inspiring exhibit featuring larger-than-life ice creations towering over 2.5 stories tall! CHILL also features ice tubing, ice skating, live music and holiday carolers. Visit queenmary.com for tickets to the fun.
UCLA vs. USC (Nov. 22): The UCLA Bruins take on the USC Trojans in the huge crosstown rivalry game, taking place at the Rose Bowl this weekend. A few tickets may be available on Ticketmaster. Visit either university’s website for game information.
