July has swooped down upon us in a flurry of sunshine, warm weather and summer plans. We are busy preparing for the 2014 Los Angeles County Fair (LACF) but we still have plenty of fun things going on this month. Keep reading to see what’s happening at Fairplex in July:

KABOOM!: It’s the 27th annual 4th of July spectacular at Fairplex. Monster trucks and Moto X will get your adrenaline pumping as you cheer on your favorites. Enjoy a delicious buffet spread of chicken, beef, salad, fruit, pasta and dessert and watch our spectacular fireworks show, dubbed one of the best in California. Food Truck Thursdays: Summer evenings are absolutely beautiful at Fairplex, and what better way to spend a warm Thursday night than with your favorite food trucks and an ice cold beer? Food Truck Thursdays run through August with a constantly changing lineup of food trucks, ranging from Cousins Maine Lobster to The Grilled Cheese Truck to a number of tasty food fusion options.

Twilight Cruise: The first Wednesday of each month brings the Prolong Twilight Cruise to Fairplex. Hundreds of hot rods, classic cars and even a few vintage race cars are put on display for your enjoyment. Music, food and free admission to the historic Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum round up the evening’s activities. For more information, click here.

Bubble Run: It wouldn’t be summer at Fairplex without at least one fun run! The Bubble Run 5k invites participants to relive their childhood through a non-competitive race course of water, bubbles and lots of foam. The after party includes live DJs, bubble swag and more. Body Art Expo & Beer Fest: Rounding out our diverse list of events is the Body Art Expo and Beer Fest. More than 300 tattoo artists, piercers and exhibitors will be at Fairplex as well as live music, quirky contests, a beer fest and Battle of the Bands competition. For more info, click here.
