Father’s Day weekend is upon us. Unlike Mother’s Day, which is typically a day consisting of flowers and brunch, Father’s Day could mean anything, from sports to BBQs to car shows. We have a couple events happening this weekend that is perfect for a little family bonding time with Dad:

L.A. Roadsters 50th Annual L.A. Roadsters Show at Fairplex 

Food Truck Thursday: Start the weekend celebrations a little early at Fairplex’s Food Truck Thursday. We have Italian, Asian, Greek, French, Mexican cuisine and even baby cupcakes this week. Stop by between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. for some grubbin’ with Dad. Parking is available at Gate 1.

Shakespeare by the Sea: If you’re dad is a fan of the fine arts, consider a night at Shakespeare by the Sea for a Friday night activity. Shakespeare by the Sea is giving a free performance of “A MIdsummer Night’s Dream” at Point Vermin Park in San Pedro. Click here for more details.

Pulp Fiction 20th Anniversary: If you’re dad is a Tarantino fan, treat him to a night at the movies. Street Food Cinema is bringing live music, food trucks and an outdoor screening of Pulp Fiction at Fairplex Saturday night. Doors open at 5:30. Click here for more details.

50th Annual L.A. Roadsters Show: A Father’s Day weekend tradition, the L.A. Roadsters show returns to Fairplex featuring hundreds of 1936 and older open cars of all types, a swap meet and trade show. Click here for more details and to purchase tickets.

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks: Nothing shouts family bonding more than a good old-fashioned baseball game! Head over to Dodgers stadium and watch the boys in blue play against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Dodger dogs, beer, garlic fries and baseball are perfect for a Sunday spent with Dad.
