It’s going to be a rainy weekend in Los Angeles which means less hiking and tanning and more naps and dinner by the fireplace.

We recommend staying in for the weekend and playing some board games or catching up on your Netflix queue but for those of you who still want to venture during the rainy weather we have a weekender’s worth of things to do on a rainy weekend in L.A. Personally, we are looking forward to clear skies as soon as possible.

Mythical Playground – Celtic Myths & Heroes: We can’t not suggest something relating to IrishFest! Visit The Broad Stage in Santa Monica and learn about the dynamic music and culture of Ireland, Scotland and Wales through Gulu Monteiro’s creation. Check it out on Saturday, March 1. Admission is $20. For more information click here.

Rainy Evening at the Movies: If you’re a fan of Hayao Miyazaki animated films, head over to the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday evening for a double feature of his most light-hearted films: My Neighbor Totoro and My Neighbors The Yamadas. My Neighbor Totoro tells the tale of two young girls and their father as they move into a new neighborhood filled with cute, mythical creatures. My Neighbors The Yamadas is a collection of cartoon shorts all centered around the antics of the lazy Yamada clan. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show: The rain should be gone by Sunday morning which is perfect for the Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show at Fairplex. Browse tons of hard to find car parts and accessories at low swap meet prices and ogle thousands of original and restores classic vehicles on display. General admission is $10 and children 12 and under are free. For more information visit www.fairplex.com.
