Getting Ready for FUN…Decanted

Fairp2753_1Fundecantedlex is the place to be this Saturday as we celebrate summer with FUN Decanted, a festival of wine, beer, spirits, extra virgin olive oil and some of the finest gourmet food trucks around. Our creative team is busy decorating the Wine & Spirits Marketplace, where all the fun will take place. I took a stroll out there this morning and it looks great. If you don’t have tickets yet, get them online. You can also buy them at the door.

Our team has done a great job creating the perfect ambiance for a summer’s night of enjoying wine tasting and food with friends (there’ll be a DJ and dancing, too!). The patio looks resplendent with vibrant flowers and a bougainvillea-covered wine barrel facade – very Tuscany inside and out.

Tickets are $50 and guests will receive $10 worth of food truck bucks. Food trucks in the house include: The Grilled Cheese Truck, Twist Burgers, Slice TruIMG_0148ck (pizza!), Calbi BBQ, Paradise Cookies and Ice Cream, and Knockout Taco. I’ve had an opportunity to taste the majority of these and let me just say, “Yum!”

FUN Decanted is the public’s first opportunity to taste the award-winning wines of the Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits, Beer and EVOO competitions. There will be tasting stations, a sparkling wine bar, seminars (wine, cheese & chocolate – oh my!) and the Saturday Nigh Chef Fights, pitting our own executive chef David Teig with European chef Julio Nascimento (admission to the chef fight is an extra $50). We’ll also have a silent auction.

Proceeds for the evening benefit The Learning Centers at Fairplex.
