The LA County Fair visits Union Station!

One of our favorite Fair traditions: bringing some of the Farm into downtown Los Angeles!
Early morning riders at Union Station were surprised by some of our favorite animal friends: lambs, kids (baby goats), chickens and miniature pigs when they entered the train station today.
We set up shop inside, where passengers were getting ready for the daily morning commute.
Sky Shivers, the Fair’s resident cowboy and some of his friends also came along to help take care of the animals, and to chat with curious visitors.
After hanging out for a couple hours with passengers, we all hopped on the Metrolink train and headed back to the Fairgrounds. (P.S. You can take Metrolink to the Fair on the weekends! Click here for more info.)
Thanks to everyone who decided to Dare To Fair with us in downtown this afternoon! It’s always fun to meet new friends 🙂 Here are some more pics from this morning:

Metrolink Commuters…Surprise!

Commuters boarding Metrolink were surprised this morning when Sky Shivers, his farm crew and a few of our lovely petting zoo animals paid a visit to Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles.
Riders were pleasantly surprised by our furry chickens, lambs, baby goats and calves.

A special thank you to Metrolink for allowing us to share some of the joy of our Fair with their commuters and to Sky Shivers for joining us on this adventure!

Metrolink Commuters Meet Farm Animals

Have you ever seen a pig or a chicken at a train station? If you have, it’s probably because you were at the right place, at the right time!

Commuters boarding Metrolink were surprised this morning when Sky Shivers, his farm crew and a few of our lovely petting zoo animals paid a visit to Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles.
Several of our furry chickens, lambs, baby goats, calves and racing pigs made the journey from Fairplex to the station to encourage commuters to take advantage of Metrolink’s weekend round-trip route from Union Station to the LA County Fair.

As people walked into the station, they noticed a large crowd surrounding our animals, so they hurried towards us for a chance to pet our loving friends and to learn more about Metrolink’s month-long Fair program. I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a break from LA’s bumper-to-bumper traffic!
A special thank you to Sky and Metrolink for allowing us to share some of the joy of our Fair with them.
